Biography:

The Grammy nominated José Alberto Tamayo Díaz (Mi Tumbao -Tumi Music label-UK) begins his artistic career as a singer of the Rock Lasser group, with just 14 years old and a sweet voice that emerges with the galloping of the rhythm. He immediately begins to become the leader of the group having presentations inside and outside the province. He has performed in almost all the events of celebrations sharing the stage with Elena Burque (Carnival 1995), José Valladares (Santiago de Cuba Carnival 1997), Celina González, Dan Den, Original de Manzanillo, Adalberto Álvarez (Bayamo Carnival 1998), Anacaona ( Carnival 1999), Cándido Fabré, Mundito González, Rebeca Martínez (Carnival Manzanillo 1999), Manolito Simonet (Carnival Bayamo 2001) from that year to shared with dissimilar national artists such as Cocofriman, Marielena Peña, Rojitas, Van Van, Los Zafiros, Miriam Hernández , among others, and internationally with the Girls of the Can, Duo Almendras (Canada, 2000), SongByFour, Mariache 2000 (group – companion of Luis Miguel), Latin Dimension, Oscar de León among others.

The singer José Alberto appeared in 37 cities in Spain, where he was considered by businessman César Moreno as Man – show; I work in Jamaica as an exclusive Tropicana artist from Santiago de Cuba and a representative in the province of Granma in Canada (2000) with presentations in discos, restaurants, cinemas and theaters.

The phonogram opens with the classic Azuquita pa’l Café, penned by Perín Vázquez (Pedro Flores Vázquez) and popularized by El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico in the voice of Andy Montañez.
